Qigong is a practice that was developed thousands of years ago in China, as part of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It uses specific body movements to move and optimize energy within the body for physical, mental, and spiritual health and wellbeing.
You may have heard of Taichi. In a nutshell, Taichi is a form of Qigong. Both are forms of martial art however Taichi tends to focus on practicing with an empty mind. In Qigong, we focus on the movement of qi within the body or within specific areas of the body. Qigong tends to be therefore a slightly more intense meditative movement exercise.
There are many different kinds of Qigong to practice and we primarly practice Lotus Neigong, taught wordlwide by Damo Mithcell.
