Meet Heidi

After a distinguished 26-year career dedicated to building support for vital community causes as an internationally certified nonprofit fundraiser, Heidi has channeled her lifelong passion for service into a new chapter of helping others. This transition from empowering organizations to empowering individuals comes from a deep, personal understanding of the need for balance and restoration in our busy lives. Her extensive background in connecting with people and understanding their needs now informs her intuitive approach to teaching, creating a practice rooted in compassion and genuine care.

Drawing on her belief that yoga is for every body (every age, every physical ability, etc.), she offers a diverse range of classes throughout Maryland designed to meet students exactly where they are. You can find her guiding students through the serene, ambient glow of Candlelight Yoga, building strength in the dynamic fusion of Yoga with Weights, improving mobility in the inclusive and supportive practice of Chair Yoga, or leading the unique and refreshing experience of Poolside Yoga. This variety ensures that students of all ages, abilities, and experience levels can find a class that nourishes both body and soul.

Her teaching philosophy is centered on creating a welcoming and non-judgmental atmosphere where students feel safe to explore their own strength, find their balance, and connect with their inner peace. By blending mindful movement with focused breathwork, she aims to provide more than just a physical workout; she offers a space to de-stress, recharge, and cultivate a more mindful way of living. She invites you to join her on the mat to discover the transformative and healing power of yoga for yourself. Join her at her newest HOME – here - where she teaches Yoga 1 and Candlelight Yoga, and find out more about her visiting her website: www.journeytonamaste.com.
