Mobility Masterclass

More often than not, pain or tighness experienced anywhere in the body is due to either low mobility, or the lack of healthy mobility. In Chinese medicine we refer to this as the need to 'open the channels and ensure the free movement of qi'.

By de-tensioning the musculature and removing pressure from the joints, we can reduce pain, risk of injury, increase output, and enjoy movement safely. Maintinaing healthy mobility patterns may allow us to avoid doctor's visits, medications, or surgeries. It starts with a little knowledge, self-assessment, and know-how to implement your own changes at home.

Seeing the need for this in my practice prompted me to reach out to my friend and mobility expert, Joshua Burchick. As a Strength and Conditioning Coach and Firefighter, with years of experience in this area, he can help you to learn and regain healthy mobility patterns so you can enjoy pain-free movement.

In this 90-minute mobility class you will:

  • receive a personal mobility assessment,

  • learn self-assessment techniques,

  • understand healthy mobility, movement, & range of motion patterns,

  • learn self myofascial release techniques to reduce muscle tension,

  • and perform long pose hold stretches with body weight or banded assistance to reinforce the movements.
